This class is a digitally oriented class. You will have to have a SLR digital camera, or at least a digital camera that has manual settings.
1: If you did not take the required prerequisites for this course you must see instructor.
2: Late assignments will be penalized one grade per class day (week).
3: Do not bring friends or children to the lecture portion of class. You may bring them to photograph.
4: Studio Usage: you must sign up in advance to use the studio with instructor. The studio is here for use for a learning environment. Do not use studio for commercial purposes.
5: Treat equipment with respect. Misuse or carelessness may result in being dismissed from class. Always have instructor to turn on lighting equip.
6: Photos taken on campus cannot be nude, semi-nude or in any way revealing.
7: Please try to be on time as it is a disruption for whole class.
8: LAB TIME: The lab is open from 7-9:45(when we start clean-up). If you used any equipment .in lab or studio, you are expected to clean that space and, put away that equip. You are expected stop working at 9:45 PM, or times will be altered. NO EXCEPTIONS!
9. Computer & print rooms are off limits to students in this class, unless you are enrolled in one of our digital classes and clear it with the digital instructor.
10. All assignments will be turned in using the following criteria :1: Digital Files only.2: PSD files only.3: Sized to 8x10 (or 8x12) @ 240 DPI
.4: File Names: Last name, Assignment name class name (example: joneshighkey370). NO EXCEPTIONS! Failure to follow the above criteria will result in 0 (zero) points for that assignment.

www.amhurstmedia.com) You can also check at Amazon.com for purchase. Field Trips: There will be two field trips this semester. Attendance is required. The first field trip will be to William Land Park. Date and time to be announced.
Grades Final grades will be based on assignments and the quality of your finished presentation, lab procedures & class participation are also important.

Photo 370 List of Assignments

List of Assignments:Photo 370 -Calkins
1: Create a scrapbook with at least 20 different images from magazines put into a folder/binder with explanation of each images of why you liked the image.
2: 3 basic lights. 1 4x6 color print of each of the 3 basic lighting patterns, feminine & Masculine and short/broad light.
3: Male head shot, Head only. Color or B/W. Rembrandt pattern
4: Child Portrait. Indoor only color or BW.
5: Outdoor Location Male or Female. Using fill lighting or Reflectors.
6: Family Portrait indoor or outdoor. Color/BW.
7: Couple portrait, location image at Night using artificial light. Male or Female.
8: High Key outdoor or indoor portrait
9: Commercial Product, with client.
10: Attend a wedding with another photographer, or one that you are shooting take pictures of photographer doing formals.
11: Using the above wedding shoot, create a slide show with at least 30 images.
12: Produce a photo book through My Publisher.com, Blurb, Shutterfly ( or equivalent) of all of your assignments. Cost approx $15.00
