- Bob & Carla Calkins have owned Mother Lode Photography since 1976. Since that time they have become internationally known for their contemporary style of portraiture. Together they have won numerous national awards for their work, including the prestigious National loan Collection. In July 1986, they both received their Photographic Craftsman Degree form the Professional Photographers of America. Their environmental portraits have been extensively displayed throughout Norther California. In the past few years their style has gained wide attention among other professional photographers, as well as local businessmen, families, high schoo seniors and wedding clients.
